WHY ERC-3643

The token standard built for regulated securities.

Every T-Mines Token Note is issued as an ERC-3643 (T-REX) permissioned security token. Unlike a plain ERC-20 coin, ERC-3643 binds identity, eligibility and compliance rules directly into the token contract — so a Token Note can only ever be held by a verified, approved wallet, and every transfer is validated on-chain before it settles.

ERC-20
Permissionless by design

Anyone with a wallet can receive the token. No identity, no eligibility checks, no way to enforce a holding period or block a sanctioned address. Fine for a utility coin — disqualifying for a regulated security.

ERC-3643 · T-REX
Permissioned by design

Transfers are validated against an on-chain identity registry and a compliance module. Only verified, eligible wallets can hold the token; non-compliant transfers revert atomically. The rules live in the contract, not in a spreadsheet.

ONCHAINID
On-chain identity
Each investor wallet is bound to a verified on-chain identity (ONCHAINID) carrying KYC, accreditation and jurisdiction claims — checked on every transfer.
COMPLIANCE MODULE
Programmable rules
Holding limits, lock-ups, jurisdiction blocks and the Reg D / Reg S dual-track logic are enforced by the contract — not by an off-chain promise.
TRANSFER VALIDATION
Fail-closed transfers
A transfer that would breach any rule reverts atomically. There is no path to an unverified or sanctioned wallet receiving a Token Note.
AGENT CONTROL
Transfer-agent authority
A regulated transfer agent can freeze, force-transfer or recover tokens to satisfy court orders, lost-key recovery and corporate actions.
RECOVERY
Lost-key recovery
Because identity is on-chain, a verified holder who loses a wallet can be re-issued their position to a new verified address — without minting new supply.
INTEROPERABLE
Standard & audited
ERC-3643 is an open, audited ERC standard maintained by the T-REX consortium — so Token Notes work with any compliant custodian or venue, not a walled garden.

What this means for a T-Mines Token Note

HELD
Only by verified wallets
A Token Note can never land in an anonymous or ineligible wallet — eligibility is enforced at the contract level.
TRADED
Compliant on every fill
The same five-check stack re-runs at each secondary trade on the Exchange, so compliance follows the token, not the venue.
REDEEMED
Reconciled to the registry
Maturity, events and burns are mirrored between the on-chain registry and the institutional transfer agent of record.
